Week 12

Thinking tonight's game featuring the Steelers vs. the Dead Fishes might be unintentionally hilarious, I made plans to do something more entertaining, like catalog toast recipes. Then, as so often happens, Kelly coerced me to the couch, took over the remote, and basically forced me to watch football. There wasn't a thing I could do about it.

This was a good thing®, as any game played in slop instantly makes it interesting and memorable. Steve Krier might be curious about the Steelers' placekicker, who accounted for the only points tonight and put Steve in first ahead of the Dean/Marlene tandem. So yeah. Steve, this is the guy who saved your bacon with football's first underwater field goal. Drink it in, baby, and congratulations to this week's winners.

In case you were wondering, the results of last Thursday's Turkey Bowl: Joe's Yellow Blackbirds 42, Gary's Pink Elephants 7. The two all-time quarterbacks threw a combined total of at least nine interceptions against about eight combined pass completions. Both of us were promptly contacted by Ron Turner of the...nevermind.

Overall, Tulloch is putting the heat on Brother Jim, whose once safe 20-something lead has dwindled to SIX. And right behind Rick is Team Lanning. Beware those Lannings. That whole cute-as-a-button thing the girls have going hides a menacing force that is not to be trifled with.
